Born in Birmingham to Derby born artist mum, and Birmingham architect Dad, Anni has her roots firmly in the Midlands, and was steeped in creativity from an early age. She has had a deep love of horses for as long as she can remember, and her early sketchbooks are alive with fantasy horses and ponies galloping across them.

As an adult Anni's career has taken her full circle from an early rejection of formal art training, after her foundation diploma at Lincoln, while she pursued a rock n roll career playing electric guitar in her own band, taking her to venues across the country including the 'Marquee' and the 'Highbury Garage' in London.

She then began to exhibit her Art at various 'Arabian Horse' shows across the country, and developed the unique little equine statuettes which she called 'Mira Horses' and for several years presented a hand made sculpture as a trophy at the national Arab Horse Society Show at Malvern.

However, her small daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2000, and apart from a large mural in the lobby at ward 15, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and some delicate drawings in her sketchbook of this time, Anni's art took second place to the care of her child. When she lost little Gigi at the end of that year, she determined to embrace a formal approach to Fine Art, and embarked on further education as a mature student, which has led to an HND and a BA (hons) in Fine Art from the University of Central England.

Anni's work now encompasses a return to the unique little horses, which delighted visitors to her exhibitions in the nineties, now cast in Bronze by Midland Art Foundry, and named Epona Horses after the ancient British Goddess of horses, whose spirit seems to infuse much of Anni's work.

Anni is today combining her career with a growing family life - she had a little boy in September 2003 - and is taking a strong interest in Art education, having recently taken her degree work into secondary schools as a basis for discussion, and is looking forward to exhibiting at the Trinity School in Leamington Spa this February.
